OVERVIEW
Joe has more than 25 years of civil litigation experience with
a primary emphasis on employment law, employment litigation,
and insurance coverage disputes. Joe has defended employers
against claims of wrongful termination, age discrimination,
and sexual harassment. He has extensive experience representing
clients before state and federal courts, in binding arbitration,
and before governmental administrative agencies, such as the
California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Federal
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the California
Labor Commissioner. He is also a frequent lecturer on employment
and insurance coverage issues. Joe has also earned the prestigious
AV rating
from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecing its highest rating for competence
and ethics.

lawsuit when the trial judge ruled as a matter of law that
the employee was an “at-will” employee who could
be terminated with or without cause.

Court, Northern District of California.
