OVERVIEW
J. Carlos Orellana specializes in complex business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction matters. He represents companies of all sizes – from start-ups and emerging companies to multi-national corporations – as well as individuals.
Prior to joining Miller Morton Caillat & Nevis, Carlos practiced law at a national firm located in Silicon Valley. There he counseled clients on employment, intellectual property, corporate governance, and complex commercial disputes and internal investigations. This broad experience provides Carlos with a unique perspective on helping clients prevent and overcome legal risks.
Carlos is admitted to practice before the state and federal district courts of California as well as the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2004. He holds two bachelors degrees, magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University and graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory in 1997. Carlos is fluent in Spanish.
